Adhere its bulk
to the wall. No,
it’s not the day
and night greet
of a Chagall, or
Monet’s red
poppies, but the
gray acrylic slate
of canvas affixed
with Command
Strip, bonded
and bound to
catch memories
like fly strip,
anchored wings
and legs hitched
to stick, braced
by sharp right
angles, connected
by time, memory.
